October Gold

Marigolds are hardy, annual plants and are great for cheering up any garden. They also come in a variety of colors, with yellow and orange being the most common. Broadly, there are two genuses Marigolds fall under, Tagetes and Celandula. Tagetes include African and French Marigolds. Celandula includes Pot Marigolds.
Most have a strong, pungent odor, but hold great value in cosmetic treatments. Calendula is an extremely effective herb used to treat various skin inflammation problems such as sunburns, varicose veins, mastitis, sebaceous cysts and even impetigo.
Marigolds are still highly regarded today.
